Our future so bright, we gotta wear shades!

Excitement is overcoming Jacki and I.. it may be from the colors in the room or it might just be from all the paint fumes. We are looking forward to our friends and family seeing our new Crop Room and the 7Th of March cannot come fast enough!

We are still working on the "last minute" touches. We are happy to say our crop table is complete and it is beautiful. Chris and Dan (our wonderful husband's) did a fabulous job on it! We still have a few more things to do before we can say we are "finished"... but no worries, it will all be complete before the BIG REVEAL!!!!

Did you know that National Scrapbook Day is coming??

Every May/June all scrapbookers celebrate this, it is one day that we have for ourselves.

The Scrapbook Haven is having a 2 day event so mark your calendars for

On March 1st, Creative Memories will be launching BRAND NEW PRODUCTS!!! They are beautiful. I am hoping to have some of these products available for show at our 1st crop. Creative Memories has done some restructuring of their company and the changes are even better for our Hostess'. *Speaking of Get Togethers... I want to explain what they are to some of my "previous" customers because when I rejoined CM I had no idea what anyone was talking about. Instead of me coming into your home and you and your guests creating your first scrapbook page like we did way back when it is more casual. Today, you invite a few friends over, and like any other home show I bring my products and I explain what each of them are how they can benefit you. I will be at your house from start to finish for approx. 2 hours. Creative Memories today has 2 types of scrappers, traditional (this is how we scrapbook) and then there is the digital scrappers. (I am still learning this one..) So that is why CM has done away with the first page.

If the "Get Together" isn't really something your interested in doing, BUT you want to earn some FREE Products I have some suggestions for you that could benefit you.

  Crop Club version #1- You can get together you and your cropping friends and use my work space. Choose a date (can't be day that an event is already scheduled) you bring the snacks. As you and your friends are cropping I will go over all the newest CM products and we do a make and take together using one of the new products. You will receive the hostess gift for bringing your friends over and before the end of the night, you and your friends can place orders for products and you can leave earning FREE Product!


• 
  
  Crop Club version #2- You and your friends get together at your regular cropping place. You tell me a time to stop in, I bring my products and let you all know what is new with CM. I will still do a make and take with a new product, you get a hostess gift for having me in and anyone who places an order helps you earn FREE Products.

  Have the Get-together at my Crop Room. If you don't have the space for your get together, you are welcome to have a get together in my crop room without us Cropping. Again, you invite your friends over (no supplies needed) bring a snack or 2 and I will do my show. You still earn the Hostess gifts and FREE products!!

If any of these options are something you would like to take advantage of, let me know. My dates are filling up quickly. Again, I am willing to travel (driving isn't an issue for me) so if you want me to come to your home for a Get Together, that is great.

The Construction has started...

Allright ladies...

Here is an update on The Scrapbook Haven...

Over the last few weeks Jacki has been working hard to find a place to put all her personal supplies (not an easy task I might add) and I went over for a few days and helped her organize her incredible Sizzix and Quikutz collection. (If you don't know what these are, they are die-cut tools where you can punch out letters , shapes etc)

Once we had the room organized, we then recruited the husbands for a trip to Home Depot. It was there that we purchased all the supplies needed to create our AWESOME crop table!

We picked out some great paint colors- we are going with bright and happy colors. When Jacki was on her honeymoon this past October she went to this coffee/breakfast shop called the 2 Cats Cafe in Bar Harbor Maine, it was colorful, bright and eclectic. She loved the feel of that cafe and she thought it would be cool to bring it to The Haven. So we got everything painted and the guys put the table together.. we just have some finishing touches to do to make this room complete. We can not wait for you see it. It is going to be beautiful!!!

Who are we??

The Scrapbook Haven was founded by 2 friends,

Crystal & Jacki, who met through what else? Scrapbooking!

How did we meet?

Back in 2003 Crystal was a Creative Memories Consultant. She was doing a home show for a friend of a co-worker and Jacki was there. Jacki showed great interest in the craft. Between crops, workshops at Crystal's house and even some weekend getaways a friendship bloomed.

This past October, Jacki was planning her wedding (a DIY) and she needed some help getting some things ready. Crystal offered her assistance and over night (somehow she still can't figure out how it happened ) she became Jacki's "Wedding Planner". It was at the wedding that many people told us that we should go into business together, we would make a great team.

Jacki and I did some brain storming... what could we do, what can we offer (especially in this economy) that will sell and be beneficial to the consumer?

It was a simple answer... Scrapbooking. Why not offer a place where other scrappers can come to work on their projects and where we can offer classes on new techniques. We were always looking for "that place"... let's just create it!
